Identify what uses the windscreen
A camera near the mirror can be part of a driver-assistance system. A rain sensor is a different function, so do not assume every fitting requires the same work. Send a photograph of the area and list the features you know your vehicle has.
Glass compatibility and the camera view are part of the specification check. Mention any display projected onto the windscreen as well as heating or sensors.
Manufacturer procedures differ
Volkswagen’s guidance discusses calibration and testing for camera-based assistance systems during glass work. Tesla’s Model 3 guidance describes a calibration process after certain camera or windscreen changes. Those examples show why a single procedure cannot be promised for every vehicle.
A description of a manufacturer procedure is not a statement that Windscreens Ltd performs it in-house. Ask how the requirements for your vehicle will be handled before accepting the quote.

Ask these questions before booking
- Does my vehicle need camera checks or calibration after this work?
- Which manufacturer procedure applies to this model and year?
- Who will complete the required work, and where?
- Is it included in the quote or separately arranged?
- What instructions apply before I use the vehicle or assistance features?
Plan the return to use
Treat glass installation, adhesive waiting time and any equipment-related completion steps as separate parts of the appointment. Follow the technician’s confirmed instructions rather than copying a wait or calibration distance from a different vehicle.
